Fiverr is known as an innovation company where employees are given the autonomy, tools and resources to come up with new ideas and solutions that help us reinvent ourselves every day. As such, even our intradepartmental processes reflect this principle. In this blog post, we’ll be taking you through how our departments work at Fiverr. Learn about our process for ideation, activation and more! There’s more to a successful business than just having a great idea. It takes hard work, dedication, and all of the little things in between to build something great. In any company (no matter its size), there needs to be a structure that helps keep everything running smoothly. If your business is also looking to revamp their intrapersonal operations too, read on below for some advice on how we do things at Fiverr.

What is ideation at Fiverr?

At Fiverr, ideation happens all the time – in every department and at every level of the company! We believe that if everyone at the company has a voice, then together we can up our innovation game. We don’t just have one centralized ideation process. Instead, we have a decentralized model, where each of our departments – Marketing, Business Development, and Product are responsible for their own ideation. This allows for more cross-pollination and a wider variety of new and creative ideas. This also allows for each team’s ideas to be fine-tuned to their unique strengths, constraints and needs.

Activation at Fiverr

The Marketing, Business Development, and Product departments have a lot of autonomy when it comes to ideation. However, once an idea is selected and approved, the department heads are held accountable for its activation. This means that each department heads are responsible for seeing the idea through from ideation to execution. This ensures that their idea is given proper attention and resources. This process is usually supported and overseen by the Fiverr CEO and CTO – both of whom are active members of every department, and keep themselves informed on each team’s progress. This ensures that our centralized team is responsible for administrative aspects of the activation process (such as event scheduling, project management, resource allocation, etc.)

Marketing at Fiverr

The Marketing department is responsible for marketing at Fiverr. This includes the creative and content strategy, the media relations, the paid marketing, the partnerships and the overall brand management. The Marketing team is also responsible for user acquisition, product conversion and retention. This includes finding new customers, converting them into Fiverr sellers and helping them retain their customer base.

HR at Fiverr

The Human Resources (HR) department is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, managing the employee experience, developing people and managing the overall culture of the company. The HR team works closely with Product, Marketing and Engineering to ensure that the company’s culture is upheld.

Engineering at Fiverr

The Engineering team is responsible for the product innovation and infrastructure. This team creates the systems and tools that power the Fiverr marketplace.
